En résumé, 40 familles, soit 270 membres d’une communauté Indou s’est convertie au village de Khalil. Ils ont connu l’Islam en travaillant sur les terres de M. Gul Mohammad. À leur demande, M. Mohammad a organisé une rencontre avec un imam de la région pour faire une conversion en groupe.

Interrogés par les médias, les nouveaux convertis ont affirmé avoir changé leur croyance sans aucune pression et que dorénavant ils n’avaient plus aucun lien avec la croyance indouiste.

Ceci nous rappelle que nous devons toujours faire attention à l’exemple que nous projetons. Nous devons toujours bien respecter les règles de l’Islam afin de ne pas induire les gens dans l’erreur ou de leur donner une fausse image de l’Islam.

Members of 40 families of the Hindu Bheel community – including 80 women and 70 children – were converted during a ceremony conducted by a local religious leader at Gulzar Khalil village… A total of 270 Hindus today converted to Islam in the southern Sindh province.

The Hindus recited the “Kalma” and embraced Islam, state-run APP news agency reported. All the persons are residents of Gul Mohammad Laghari village in Tando Mohammad Khan district.

Representatives of the Bheel community, including Bachal Bheel, Sajan Bheel, Basar Bheel and Munshi Bheel, told reporters that they were impressed by Islam while working as labourers for landlord Gul Mohammad Sarewal in the village. They told their landlord about their willingness to embrace Islam and he arranged their meeting with the local religious leader who converted them.

The community said they had embraced Islam without any fear or pressure, adding they were now Muslims and had no links with the Hindu religion. Local leaders of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan attended the ceremony.
